Brody started as a pharmacist and moved into healthcare IT, with policy, implementation, and leadership roles at NCQA, Epic, and Walmart Health. He sees every project from three sides: the clinician, the vendor, and the operator who has to make it work on opening day.
Brody earned his Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Connecticut and is a registered pharmacist. Early in his healthcare IT career, he held roles at NCQA and at Epic, where he was a Clinical Program Manager. From 2019 to 2021, he was a Senior Clinical Product Analyst at virtuwell, an online clinic, where he led clinical, operations, development, and marketing teams through an agile cycle to bring new products to life.
In late 2021, Brody joined Walmart's healthcare business. He started as Epic Operational Readiness Senior Manager, running application, integrated, regression, and user acceptance testing for new clinic openings, releases, and third-party integrations. He went on to lead Connected Systems Enhancement and Support, first as program director and then as director, managing the stabilization of newly launched and converted clinics and overseeing Epic, third-party, and Walmart integration from intake through release. Along the way, he helped create and develop a PMO inside the world's largest company.
From 2024 to 2025, as Director, Digital Transformation Operations and Execution at Walmart Health and Wellness, he led the Connected Systems, Data and Analytics, and Patient Experience teams and drove the strategy, roadmap, and implementation for new health centers and their technology. Since helping found Spark in 2025, he has worked directly with health system leaders on technology and interoperability strategy, clinical operations, executive coaching, and vendor integration assessments. He has also led complex IT projects at Topcon Healthcare, moving from senior IT project manager to project director in 2026.
